BOREDOM
|
My life is so boring, and I have so much time in my hands now that...
* I change my sheets every week, when it used to be every 2-3 weeks
* My toilet is clean & my laundry stack is half empty, when it used to always be 2 stories high
* My room is actually quite tidy, when it used to be a jungle of a mess
* I'm able to spray & mop my room & bathroom floor once or twice a day to get rid of Oink's doggie whatevers, when I used to just quickly walk around with a rag under my foot
* I finished watching all 7 seasons of 'Sex & The City' after only 2 weeks, when I only really watch it in bed before sleeping
* I'm writing on my BLOG and updating my website again
* I get 7 hours (or more!) of sleep everyday
* I've been putting hair & skin treatment on before sleeping, which I've never been bothered to do cos I really don't like all the fuss
* For work, I've actually studied (and memorized!) 5 songs in less than a month, and have half a dozen more songs to study - already lined up
* I have a grocery list every week, so I never run out of supplies
* I know all the latest in Celebrity Buzz from browsing the net
* I have so many complaints about work, life, & love
* I'm actually able to blow-dry and style my hair, every night, for work
* I was able to organize my email list
* I can find a dress just by looking inside my closet, when it used to be like trying to find a needle in a haystack
* I've finished watching all my DVDs so I had to go out & buy some new ones
* I'm actually writing this shitty BLOG entry

PS2 FRENZY
|
I love PS2! There are days when sleep isn't in the agenda anymore, just because of this madness. 'Sims' alone, has so many different kinds of games out, that there's just so many things to do, yet so little time to do them. It's funny how, one time, I made my Sim sleep, and I fell asleep too, cos I was already so tired. So I guess we slept together, only there was no "woohoo" involved. Hehe.
Carlo and I used to play 'Justice League' and 'Smackdown VS. Raw' till morning, or even till lunch time. Such addicts! Haha! He went back to the Philippines, and there was, of course, proper segregation of games between us. But most importantly, I'd like to thank Carlo for getting me the all-new white PS2! I think it's beautiful and more fit for a girl, because of its nice pearly white color. Thanks so much!! i"m taking care and am making very good use of it.
Haven't tried online PS2 gaming yet. Maybe that's next. Anyone willing to go against me? Bwahahaha!

MOTORBIKE MISHAP
|

Carlo & I got into a terrible motorbike accident. We went out after work to have some japanese food. On our way home, Carlo was driving the motorbike & I was at the back, when two guys drove past us on another bike. The guy at the back grabbed my bag, which was hanging on my shoulder. My instinct, of course, was to pull back. The sudden movement caused Carlo to lose control of the bike & we fell down. Hard. As I was about to pick myself up from the ground, I felt some pain around my mouth. I touched my hand to my lips & found it all swollen & bleeding. I started crying. I ran my tongue over my lips, and that's when I felt the rough edges of my two front teeth. They had broken in half! I could taste the blood & feel the bits of teeth inside my mouth. That's when I started getting hysterical. I couldn't bring myself to get up at all. I was on my hands & knees, on the ground, crying, & screaming "Oh my God! Oh my God!" over & over again. How was I supposed to work, or even just show my face to anyone when my two front teeth were broken in half?!?
We got back on the bike & drove home. My whole body was aching, my pants were torn & bloody, & my face was a terrible mess. We called for a cab & went to the hospital where they treated the open wounds on my hands & legs. The wounds were so bad I couldn't walk straight for two whole weeks.
The hotel learned about our unfortunate experience & sent me a big basket of flowers & an even bigger basket of fruits. But that's not all. They offered to pay for my medical & dental bills too!
So many friends of mine were offering their help too, that after a few days, I felt blessed instead of cursed. I had a lot of people who loved me & were very concerned about me, my employers were very kind to me, and I finally have new & better teeth! Hehe. Bad things may happen to good people, but that's only to show them that they're not alone in this world.

FISHY BUSINESS
|
After having Oink, I added some more members to the family.
Parrot fishes in the house! A very interesting breed, indeed!
The Parrot fish are known for their bright colors. The females differ in color from the males. They form harems of several females with only one male fish. The status of the male fish is vigorously defended. If, for some reason, the male fish is no longer with the harem, one of the females will actually change sex and adopt the terminal male coloration. How amazing is that?!
What I have in my tank right now are actually Blood Parrot fishes, also known as the Frankenstein Monsters of the fish world, since they are manmade hybrids. Because of this, these fishes have some anatomical deformities, such as having a beak-shaped mouth that cannot fully close (stong throat muscles help "chew" their food), deformed swim bladders (which makes them swim funny, and have difficulty staying afloat), abnormal spines (the reason for their odd shape), and large irises (they look kinda scary. Some even appear to be wearing mascara). Some breeders inject them with dye to make them even more colorful, and this could lead to a shorter life span. They are territorial and are voracious eaters, so you should not put small fishes in the tank!
Personally, I like these abnormalities cos it makes them different. Also, when I first saw them at the Pet Shop, they were all just floating towards one direction. Hundreds of fishes staring at you with their big, scary eyes. Of course that's cos they were kept in a tank with nothing for them to play with (which makes them bored. They love to play), but it was damn creepy! Like something out of a Twilight Zone movie! And I loved it. Haha!
Anyway, the only part I don't like about all of this is the part where I have to change the filter and especially the water. Damn! That takes a lot of work. Okay, I like my fishes a lot, but I still prefer picking up puppy poo to cleaning a fish tank. Hehe.

OINKSTER THE BOINKSTER
|
Around two months ago, while riding down Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, we saw this litter of pups for sale. Of course we had to stop! There were so many cute little furry friends in there, but I knew Oink was the one for me. Firstly, he's so very handsome! Secondly, he has such a cute nose, And thirdly, he seemed very healthy (and that's very, very important!). And so Oink went home with us, and I have never been happier!
Having a puppy is a big responsibilty, and it's about time that I had that. Haha! And so I instantly went online to read up on how to take care of puppies. Purchases were made... Dog food, bed, toys, little T-shirts, chew sticks, biscuits, baby bottle, flavored milk, and all that. Of course it's never too early to potty-train, so newspapers were laid down on the toilet floor.
Oink likes to sleep in bed with me. Okay, okay, I like having him sleep in bed with me. Hehe. We had a bit of a bout with shedding for some weeks, but we're over that now, and his hair is beautifully growing. Fluffy pups are the best! He likes to eat carrots and tomatoes, but he's still very fond of Cesar Puppy food, which comes in many flavors and does smell like it tastes good.
My baby is sooo sweet and carinoso. He sometimes acts like he thinks he's a person, so I had to take him out and introduce him to other dogs, just so he knows what he really is. Haha! But I just love him so much! In fact almost all our regular guests at the hotel know him. I'm such a proud momma! Oink gets lots of greetings from our regulars, and sometimes they even hand me a treat or two to take home to Oink. Awww.... I think everyone should have a puppy!

HOLIDAY 2007
|
Got to go home again last February for a few days. My family & I went up to the mountains. Baguio was celebrating "Penagbengga", or the Flower Festival. The sidewalks were filled with people as dancers & floats made of flowers paraded down the streets. The smell of flowers in the air was exhilirating! I loved the cold weather too. Smoke would actually come out of your mouth when you speak. How often do you get that in the city?! Hehe. Oh! I even got picked out of the crowd to go on T.V. and talk about the festivities going on around me. Cool!
We also visited the Butterfly Farm at Camp John Hay. It was like a fairytale, where you'd walk around in a beautiful garden & have butterflies all around you, and even on you! Of course, we also had to have the famous "chocolate-e". A mug of rich, hot chocolate to make you feel warm up on the mountains.
Other than that, I just had a grand time partying with my friends, going shopping, reliving McD's, seeing relatives, and eating good ole Filipino food courtesy of my mom's very delicious cooking. Yum! I also got a new tattoo! It's on the entire length of my left butt-cheek (no bone there, but the thin skin made it really painful). I know I can't show it off so I always have a picture of it in my phone to show people. Haha! The tattoo is a beautiful fire snake, which is my Lunar Sign (thanks to Joe for the great artwork).
All in all, it was a wonderful vacation! Can't wait to get my ass back home again (no pun intended).
