HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CIARA!

Happy birthday to American "Crunk & B" singer/songwriter, Ciara! She turns 21 today, October 25. Her first hit ever was Goodies, which sold close to three million copies in the U.S.! Her latest hit is 1, 2, Step (featuring Missy Elliot).
An episode of MTV's Punk'd shows that the Princess has an attitude to match her present status. But then again maybe you can't blame her for that, since she hit stardom at the early age of nineteen, with hardly any effort. Let's just hope she makes more hits to back-up that attitude of hers. Wish her luck, guys!

THEN I'D BE HAPPY!

Damn, TLee! Is that the remote control or are you just happy to see me?!?
Roawwwrrrrrrrr!!!

ARTICLE: "007 ROLE OFFERED TO EWAN"

As written by Robert Stansfield on Mirror.co.uk (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/showbiz/tm_headline=

007-role-offered-to-ewan&method=

full&objectid=17976644&siteid=94762-name_page.html):
Daniel Craig landed the James Bond role only after Ewan McGregor turned it down, says the director of new 007 movie, Casino Royale. Martin Campbell admitted Star Wars favourite Ewan was their first choice - but snubbed the offer because he feared becoming typecast. He said Ewan was approached early in the hunt to replace Pierce Brosnan as 007. He added: "I think he got another job or decided he didn't want it." McGregor said last year that playing Bond might have been fun, but he was worried about the long-term nature of the role.
Damn, baby boy! I would've loved to see you as Bond! Then perhaps I would reconsider getting engaged to Sean Connery, who, though more charming than ever, is a little too old for me. Hehehehe....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MONICA!

Happy birthday to R&B singer, Monica! She turns 26 today, October 24. I first noticed her when she released her version of "Angel Of Mine". I really liked singing that song on Manila's stages. Some of her other hits include For You I Will, and The Boy Is Mine (duet with Brandy). Keep on groovin', gurl!

TWINS?

Some people say that when two people look a lot alike, they're most likely gonna end up with each other. I think that's bull. But take a look at these guys and their pets! Haha!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHAGGY!

Happy Birthday to ultra cool Jamaican Reggae DJ, Shaggy! He turns 28 today, October 22. I just love bopping to this guy's songs. Who doesn't know Oh Carolina, In the Summertime, Boombastic, It Wasn't Me, Angel, and Hey Sexy Lady (which is the background music for my website)? Catchy, catchy!
Good job, dude. Hope to have more hits from you!

THE PERILS OF BEING A SINGER

My job requires wearing sexy clothes and shaking your ass onstage. I feel that no one takes me seriously because of that. Why are people so narrow minded, that they think your onstage personality is who you are in real life? I hate that. Back home, they don't judge you like that.
I wanna go home

RANTINGS OF A FUTURE OLD MAID

As a member of "The Future Old Maids Society", I would like to voice out some of our sentiments.... What the hell is wrong with men today?!? It's like 98% of them want all the benefits of a relationship, except for that one single, most important thing... Commitment. And we're not talking about marriage here. Just a simple girlfriend-boyfriend/steady/
monogamous-relationship kind of commitment is all we mean. Men have too much angst and hang-ups, that they just don't want to take that extra step. Hey, we've been hurt too, but we move on! These men blabber about independence, freedom, and how better it is to just cherish and enjoy what you share together. How selfish can you be?!? Do you ever stop and think about how the woman must be feeling? True, she enjoys your company and all the "benefits" of your so-called relationship. True, she's old enough to know what she's getting herself into. But are these men old enough (and we're not talking age here) to understand how they are making these women feel?
The usual scenario: You want to have coffee with me, take me to dinner, and get drunk with me. You want to take me to the movies, the Opera, and have a weekend at the beach with me. You want to exchange sweet-nothings with me, show me off to your friends, and call me "baby". You want to hug me, run your fingers down my body, and hold me in your arms as we sleep. You want to kiss me, touch me, and make passionate love to me. You want all that. I want all that too. But I want a commitment. You don't. What does that make me?
You make it clear to me that we're just "special friends" and nothing else, and so I decide to go out with another friend ("special" or not), so as not to get too attached to you. But then you make me feel guilty about it, like I'm some kind of insensitive slut. And yet, you still don't want a commitment. What does that make you?
So, ladies, do we still go ahead and make futile attempts of finding a man who is in that remaining 2%? Sigh... You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't.

MAYBE ME

I think I was a cat in my past life....
A cat makes you smile as she curls up beside you, rubs herself against you, and purrs herself to sleep. She provides you with endless laughter as she plays with enthusiasm. But sometimes, when she's in a bad mood, she might drive you crazy as she scratches or makes sneak attacks on you. Or perhaps I was a lioness? Same family, anyway. Hehe.
Here are some facts, according to Wikipedia:
ON CATS:
- The cat is a skilled predator and is an intelligent animal
- Cats conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals. The term cat nap refers to the cat's ability to fall asleep (lightly) for a brief period
- Due to their crepuscular nature, cats are often known to enter a period of increased hyperactivity and playfulness during the evening and early morning, dubbed the "evening crazies", "night crazies" or "mad half hour" by some
- They use more than one hundred vocalizations and types of body language for communication
- Most breeds of cat have a noted fondness for settling in high places, or perching. Animal behaviorists have posited a number of explanations, the most common being that height gives the cat a better observation point, allowing it to survey its "territory" and become aware of activities of people and other pets in the area. In the wild, a higher place may serve as concealed site from which to hunt. Height, therefore, can also give cats a sense of security and prestige
- Hunting has likewise become central to their behavior patterns, even to their predeliction for short burst of intense exercise punctuating long periods of rest
- Domesticated cats eat fairly little vegetable matter. It is quite common, however, for cats to occasionally supplement their carnivorous diets with small amounts of grass or other plant matter to help their digestive tract, but cats prefer to mostly feed on meat
- Scratching behavior seems enjoyable to the cat, and even declawed cats will go through elaborate scratching routines with every evidence of great satisfaction, despite the total lack of results
- Many veterinarians are critical of declawing because the absence of claws in a cat can cause insecurity and a subsequent tendency to bite
- Cats are seasonally polyestrous, which means they may have many periods of heat over the course of a year
- Furthermore, cats are superfecund; that is, a female may mate with more than one male when she is in heat
- The reproduction process can be very loud, as both cats vocalize loudly. If one is not used to the sounds of cats mating, it will sound like a cat fight
- Cats can be very affectionate towards their human companions, especially if they are treated with consistent affection
- The cat may, at times, display behaviors similar to that of its owner. Such behavior may include a trip to the litter box before bedtime or snuggling up close to its companion in bed or on the sofa
- Other such behavior includes mimicking sounds of the owner; They may pick up and make sounds representing their specific needs, which the owner would recognize, such as a specific tone of meow along with eye contact that may represent "I'm hungry."

- The cat may also be capable of learning to communicate with humans using non-spoken language or body language such as rubbing for affection (confirmation), facial expressions and making eye contact with the owner if something needs to be addressed
ON THE LIONESS:
- Lions usually hunt at night or dawn
- Both males and females will defend the pride against intruders. Typically, males will not tolerate outside males, and females will not tolerate outside females
- Lions do not have a specific time of year where they mate and the females are polyestrous. During a mating bout, which could last several days, the couple frequently copulate twenty to forty times a day and are likely to forgo hunting. At times the female may couple with other males in the pride
- Lions spend a lot of their time resting
- When resting, lions seem to enjoy good fellowship with lots of touching, head rubbing, licking and purring
So, cat or lioness... Whatever. They're both just so like me. Meowwwrrrrrrrr!!! Hehehe....

WHEN GALAXIES COLLIDE

Awesome sh*t from Y!News. Thank God we die young and aren't able to live for billions of years, cos I sure don't wanna experience this!
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A seemingly violent collision of two galaxies is in fact a fertile marriage that has birthed billions of new stars, and an image released on Tuesday gives astronomers their best view yet.
The new image of the Antennae galaxies allows astronomers working with the orbiting
Hubble Space Telescope to distinguish between new stars and the star clusters that form them. Most of these clusters, created in the collision of the two galaxies, will disperse within 10 million years but about 100 of the largest will grow into "globular clusters" -- large groups of stars found in many galaxies, including our own Milky Way.
The Antennae galaxies, 68 million light years from Earth, began to fuse 500 million years ago.
A light year is the distance light waves travel in one year -- about 6 trillion miles.
The image serves as a preview for the Milky Way's likely collision with the nearby Andromeda Galaxy, about 6 billion years from now.
